No time to dream at the top of  this 50 degree hillside. No dreaming now, I am seriously focused on my run. I have mentally repeated the upcoming descente. Toni counts 5,4,3,2,1.... I have started my ride into the rocky wall. My run is a success. Due to the good powder conditions I am able to land all three planned jumps well. The first cliff with a height of about  

15-18 meters is the most impressive one.

 

Entirely worn out I cross the finish line 700 meters below the start. I know I performed well but there is still strong competition to come. Matthias Haunholder is the local freeride "star" and he meets all expectations. He rides a dynamic run with two spectacular cliffs. Until the award ceremony the riders don’t know the ranking. The Jury is evaluating the points and the competitors are trying to figure out who`s the winner. A Lot of the freeriders congratulate me on my good run. I don’t believe in a ranking among the three best until…the speaker announces my name. My feeling is confirmed, I did show a good run. Matthias Haunholder and I share the lead! Amazing !
